The powerhouse, Duke Blue Devils return to the NCAA championship for the first time since 2001 while the Cinderella underdogs Butler will be making their first appearance in the NCAA finals. Although Butler has been labeled an underdog, they were in many preseason college basketball top 10 or top 20 rankings heading into the 2009-10 NCAA season…in some preseason rankings they were ahead of the Duke Blue Devils…and they have won 25 straight games.

Question by Tim: How do you become a basketball scout?
I would like to become a basketball scout. I have played baskeball from elementary to high school and im still playing now. I have been a basketball counselor for a few years. I would really like to become a scout. I know the game very well. I know what to look for. How do you become a basketball scout? Where do I go and who do I talk to? Please help. This would be a dream job for me. My life is basically basketball, when it comes to NBA or March Madness i know it. If you have any info please help. Thanks.

You hve to be seen as usaulya good basketball coach then you can make your way up from like division 3 to 2 to 1 colleges. plus its always good to know people that’ll give you jobs

He played college basketball at Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. He played for Central High School in East Chicago, Indiana, for whom he led to a state championship. He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection as both a freshman and a sophomore and a First-Team All-Big Ten selection as a junior and a senior. He was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, as well as a Second-Team Academic All-American selection at the conclusion of the 2009–10 Big Ten Conference regular season. As a junior, as well, he was named a Yahoo! Sports Third-Team All-American and an AP Honorable Mention All-American.[1][2]. He repeated as an AP honorable mention selection and was named NABC Third Team-All America as a senior.

If a college basketball player declares for the NBA Draft and does not get drafted by a team, he’s allowed to return to his college right? I’m not talking about being eligible to play ball still, I’m just talking about attending the college he previously went to.

I graduated HS this past May and I got in touch w/ a college coach at a JUCO regarding tryouts. I told him that I still need time to review and figure out what I’m really gonna do with my life. He was okay w/ it n said I could tryout out as a walk-on next yr. However, I’m looking for part-time work and I want to be able to get in some quality training time as well. I’m going to apply at Safeway cuz they have 9 openings there, but I’m worried that the manager will make me work during the night. I could work from 8am-330pm, but will the manager force me to change things? The store is 10 miles away from me and transportation is best in the mornings. I love bball so much, plz help me ppl! Also, will they make me change shifts? And where are the best places to work in my situation?

About a 6″4 8th grade basketball player in California by the name of Michael Avery being already recruited by Kentucky University (One of the most successful bball colleges). This is crazy he hasnt even played hs ball and is already being recruited to a DI school. I played 4 years of HS and gonna play at a DII school or a low ranking first tier. This guy is a beast. He could already be a shoe in for the NBA in Kentucky U it has developed many NBA players.
